Film afişlerinin grafik tasarım ve göstergebilimsel açıdan incelenmesi: Hayao Miyazaki film afişleri örneği

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, anime film yönetmeni Hayao Miyazaki'nin seçili film afişlerinin grafik tasarım ve göstergebilim alanları kullanılarak analizi yapılmıştır. Çalışmada, anime türüne ait film afişlerinin taşıdığı grafiksel özellikleri ortaya çıkartarak, afiş tasarımı içerisinde yer alan göstergelerin neler olduğuna ne amaçla ne şekilde kullanıldığına ilişkin analiz sonuçlarını aktarılmaktadır. Çalışmanın amacı, bir anime filmin afiş tasarımının özelliklerini ortaya çıkartarak, grafik tasarım bağlamında anlam aktarımının nasıl gerçekleştirildiğini ortaya çıkarmaktır. Çalışmanın örneklemini oluşturan afişlerin incelenmesinde, afişin göstergeler aracılığıyla aktarmak istediği mesaj irdelenerek, animasyon ve anime tekniklerinin ortak ve farklı noktaları ortaya çıkarılmaktadır. Çalışmada ayrıca, söz konusu türlerin tarihçeleri hakkında detaylı literatür taraması yapılarak, afişlerin bu türlerin özelliklerini nasıl ve hangi göstergelerle tasarıma aktardığı üzerinde durulmaktadır. Çalışmada, özellikle bu alanda tanınan ünlü yönetmen Hayao Miyazaki'nin animelerinin afişleri grafik tasarım ilkeleri açısından da ele alınarak, afiş tasarımlarındaki anlatı ve anlatının yapısı kişi kullanımı, renk ve zaman kullanımı gibi teknik oluşturucular / teknik göstergeler üzerinden ele alınarak; bir durum saptaması yapılmaktadır. Çalışmada grafik tasarım desteğiyle, animelerin afişleri aracılığıyla filmlerin içerikleri ile ilgili tam ve net bilgi aktarılıp aktarılmadığı incelenmektedir. Çalışmanın örneklemini oluşturan yönetmen Hayao Miyazaki filmlerinin afişleri ile ilgili olarak, çözümleme sonucunda elde edilen veriler ve filmlerin içerikleri, aktardıkları mesaja bakılarak, afişlerin tasarımları ile ilgili tasarımsal saptamalar sonuç bölümünde yer almıştır.

In this study, selected movie posters of anime movie director Hayao Miyazaki were analyzed using the fields of graphic design and semiotics. In the study, the graphical features of movie posters belonging to the anime genre are revealed and the analysis results are presented regarding the indicators included in the poster design and for what purpose they are used. The aim of the study is to reveal how meaning is conveyed in the context of graphic design by revealing the characteristics of the poster design of an anime movie. In examining the posters that constitute the sample of the study, the common and different points of animation and anime techniques are revealed by examining the message that the poster wants to convey through the indicators. The study also conducts a detailed literature review about the history of the genres in question and focuses on how and with what indicators the posters convey the characteristics of these genres to the design. In the study, the posters of the anime of the famous director Hayao Miyazaki, who is especially known in this field, are discussed in terms of graphic design principles, and the narrative and the structure of the narrative in the poster designs are discussed through technical creators / technical indicators such as the use of people, the use of color and time; A situation determination is made. In the study, with the support of graphic design, it is examined whether complete and clear information about the content of the films is conveyed through the posters of the anime. Regarding the posters of the films of director Hayao Miyazaki, which constitute the sample of the study, the data obtained as a result of the analysis, the contents of the films and the message they convey, and the design determinations and regarding the designs of the posters are included in the conclusion section.
