Abstract

Nowadays direct foreign investments are important implements used especially by developing countries on the purpose of financing of economic development. Multinational Corporations' heading towards developing countries with the purpose of making more profit from international trade has provided a considerable extent of foreign resource entry into these countries. While foreign resource entry to Turkey had realized by the way of foreign indebtment before, beginning from 2000s the way of direct foreign investments came into prominence. Declaration of Turkey as a candidate country for EU in 2004 was evaluated as an important step in the process of its articulating with one of the most stable markets of the world by foreign investors and after this date massive increases occurred in the amount of direct foreign investments heading for Turkey.
