Okul temelli psikolojik ihtiyaç doyumu ölçeğinin geliştirilmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, ilkokul düzeyi öğrencilerin psikolojik ihtiyaç doyumu düzeylerinin ölçülmesine yönelik geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışmaları yapılmış bir ölçme aracı geliştirmektir. Araştırmanın örneklemini Güneydoğu Anadolu Bölgesinde bir ilkokulda öğrenim görmekte olan 256’sı kız, 301’i erkek olmak üzere, gönüllü 557 ilkokul 3. ve 4. sınıf öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmaya dahil edilecek bireyler seçilirken uygun örnekleme yöntemi tercih edilmiştir. Araştırma da Kişisel Bilgiler Formu, Okul Temelli Psikolojik İhtiyaç Doyumu Ölçeği kullanılarak veri toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde, açımlayıcı faktör analizi ve doğrulayıcı faktör analizi yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. Ölçek geliştirme sürecinde verilerin analize uygunluğu incelenmiş, verilerin normal dağılım gösterdiği görülmüştür. Alt boyutların belirlenebilmesi için açımlayıcı faktör analizi yöntemi kullanılmış ve tek faktörlü yapı belirlenmiştir. Tek faktörlü yapının açıkladığı toplam varyans .31 olarak bulunmuştur. Doğrulayıcı faktör analizi yöntemi ile tek faktörlü yapının doğruluğu test edilmiş ve uyum indeksleri (X2/df 1.79, CFI .93, TLI .92, CFI .89, AGFI .85, RMSEA .06) yeterli bulunmuştur. Cronbach alpha katsayısı kullanılarak güvenirlik analizi yapılmış, .89 olarak bulunmuştur. Test - tekrar test analizinde korelasyon değeri .82 olarak bulunmuştur. Ardından madde toplam puan korelasyonu belirlenmiştir. Madde toplam korelasyon değerlerinin .44 ile .71 arasında olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgularla Okul Temelli Psikolojik İhtiyaç Doyumu Ölçeğinin geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçek olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu çalışma ile öğrencilerin okulda psikolojik ihtiyaç doyumunu ölçen bir ölçek okul psikolojik danışmanlarının hizmetine sunulmuştur. Bunun yanı sıra okullarda öğrencilerin ihtiyaç doyumunu ve ihtiyaç doyumu ile ilişkili olduğu düşünülen değişkenlerle ilişkisini ölçmek üzere araştırmacıların hizmetine sunulmuştur.

The aim of this study is to develop a measurement tool, the validity and reliability of which have been conducted, for measuring the psychological need satisfaction levels of primary school students. The sample of the study consists of 557 volunteer primary school 3rd and 4th grade students, 256 girls and 301 boys, studying in a primary school in the Southeastern Anatolia Region. The convenience sampling method was preferred when selecting individuals to be included in the study. Data were collected using the Personal Information Form and the School-Based Psychological Need Satisfaction Scale. Exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis methods were used in the analysis of the data. In the scale development process, the suitability of the data for analysis was examined and it was seen that the data showed a normal distribution. Exploratory factor analysis method was used to determine the sub-dimensions and a single-factor structure was determined. The total variance explained by the single-factor structure was found to be .31. The accuracy of the single-factor structure was tested with the confirmatory factor analysis method and the fit indices (X2/df 1.79, CFI .93, TLI .92, CFI .89, AGFI .85, RMSEA .06) were found to be sufficient. Reliability analysis was performed using the Cronbach alpha coefficient and was found to be .89. The correlation value was found to be .82 in the test-retest analysis. Then, the item total score correlation was determined. It was determined that the item total correlation values were between .44 and .71. With the findings obtained, it was determined that the School-Based Psychological Need Satisfaction Scale is a valid and reliable scale. With this study, a scale measuring students' psychological need satisfaction at school was presented to the service of school psychological counselors. In addition, it was presented to the service of researchers in order to measure students' need satisfaction in schools and the relationship with variables thought to be related to need satisfaction.
