Okul Öncesi Düzeyde Eğitim Alan İşitme Engelli Öğrencilerin Eğitim Süreçlerinde

Abstract

Doğuştan veya ilerleyen dönemde herhangi bir nedene bağlı işitme kaybı, erken dönemde dil gelişimi başta olmak üzere bilişsel, sosyal ve akademik gelişim alanlarını etkilediğinden, eğitim ortamlarında uygulamalar ve destek hizmetlerin niteliği önemlidir. Bu çalışmada koklear implantlı ya da işitme cihazlı öğrencilerin devam ettiği tersine kaynaştırma uygulamasının yürütüldüğü iki ayrı okul öncesi eğitim kurumunda görevli öğretmenlerin, işitme engelli öğrencilerin eğitimi, işitsel-sözel eğitim, işaret dili, iletişim ve dil gelişimi konularındaki görüşlerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Betimsel olarak desenlenen çalışmada nitel araştırmada sıklıkla kullanılan bir veri toplama tekniği olan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniğinden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonunda öğretmenlerin görüşlerinden elde edilen bulgular ''işitme engelli öğrenciler için kaynaştırma'', ''görev ve sorumluluklar'', ''işitme engelli öğrenciler için etkili öğretim'', ''aile katılımı'', ''yaşanan sorunlar ve çözüm önerileri'', ''öğretmen yeterlikleri'' olmak üzere toplam altı tema şeklinde betimlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak, okul öncesi düzeyde eğitim alan işitme engelli öğrencilerin daha nitelikli bir eğitim alabilmesi için hem işitsel-sözel yöntemin hem de işaret dilinin öğretmenler tarafından bilinmesi ve her ikisinin etkili bir şekilde uygulanması, öğretimsel düzenlemelerin niteliğini olumlu anlamda etkileyerek, işitme engelli öğrencilerin akademik başarılarına, yaşadıkları toplumla etkileşim kurmalarına katkı sağlayacaktır

Since the inborn hearing loss or hearing loss resulted from any reason in the following period affect the cognitive, social and academic development fields, especially language development in the early period, the quality of the applications and support services in the educational enviroments are significant. This study intends to examine the opinions of the teachers regarding the education of hearing impaired students, auditory-verbal education, auditory-verbal education, sign language, communication and language development who work in two different reverse inclusion pre-school education institutions in which the students with cochlear implant or hearing aid are attending. The semi-structured interview technique, a frequently used data collection technique in qualitative research designed as a descriptive research was used in the study. The findings obtained at the end of the research were described under six main themes: "inclusion for the hearing impaired students", "duties and responsibilities", "effective teaching for the hearing impaired students", "family participation", "problems and solution suggestions", "teacher competency". In order to enable the hearing impaired students to receive a more qualified education, both auditory-verbal approach and sign language known and effectively applied by the teachers may contribute to the academic success and interaction of the hearing impaired students with the society they live in by affecting the educational regulations positively
