SANAYİSİZLEŞMEYİ ETKİLEYEN FAKTÖRLER ÜZERİNE BİR İNCELEME: TÜRKİYE ÖRNEĞİ

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı Türkiye ekonomisinde 1980-2017 tarih aralığında sanayi sektöründe istihdam edilen iş gücü ile kişi başına düşen mili gelir, doğrudan yabancı yatırımlar, toplam faktör verimliliği ve ticari dengesizlik değişkenleri arasındaki ilişkinin analiz edilmesidir. Söz konusu değişkenler arasındaki ilişkinin analiz edilmesi için ikinci nesil testler kullanılmıştır. Durağanlık sınaması için Zivot-Andrews ve Fourier ikinci nesil birim kök testlerinin uygulanmasının ardından Hacker ve Hatemi-J Bootstrap Nedensellik Testi ile değişkenler arasındaki nedensellik ilişkisi test edilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre kişi başına düşen milli gelir ve doğrudan yabancı yatırımlardan sanayi sektöründe istihdam edilen iş gücüne doğru tek yönlü nedensellik ilişkisi tespit edilirken; toplam faktör verimliliği ile ticari dengesizlik arasında ise herhangi bir nedensellik ilişkisi olmadığı saptanmıştırThe aim of this study, is to analyze the relationship between the employed workforce in the industrial sector and GDP per capita, foreign direct investment, using total factor productivity and trade imbalances variables in Turkey's economy for the period of 1980-2017. Second generation tests were used to analyze the relationship between these variables. After the Zivot-Andrews and Fourier second generation unit root tests were applied for the stationarity test, the causality relationship between the variables was tested with the Hacker and Hatemi-J Bootstrap Causality Test. The results of the analysis reveal that there is a one–way causality from GDP per capita and foreign direct investmen to the labor force employed in the industrial sector; however there was no-causal relationship found between total factor productivity and trade imbalance.
