Öz Değerlendirme Raporu Hazırlık Süreci: Hasan Kalyoncu Üniversitesi Fizyoterapi ve Rehabilitasyon Bölümü Örneği

Abstract

Amaç: Bu çalışma, akreditasyon başvurusu öncesinde hazırlanan bölüm öz değerlendirme raporunun (ÖDR) hazırlık sürecinin hangi aşamalardan geçtiğini ve çalışma programının hangi ölçütleri içerdiğini göstermek amacıyla yapıldı.Gereç-Yöntem: Programımız akredite olmak için, Sağlık Bilimleri Eğitim Programları Değerlendirme ve Akreditasyon Derneği (SABAK)’ne başvuruda bulundu. Başvurunun onaylanmasını takiben ÖDR hazırlama sürecine başlanıldı. Bunun için bölüm akreditasyon komisyonu kuruldu. Bu komisyon tarafından ÖDR hazırlama kılavuzu incelenerek, çalışma gruplarının oluşturulması ve SABAK ölçütlerine göre görev dağılımları gerçekleştirildi. ÖDR hazırlama sürecinde yer alan tüm öğretim elemanları ve iç paydaş olarak öğrenciler SABAK tarafından verilen akreditasyon eğitimine katıldı. Akreditasyon eğitimiyle birlikte her öğretim elemanı sorumlu olduğu ölçütle ilgili gerekli düzenlemeleri gerçekleştirdi. Bu süreç içerisinde çalışma grupları ile ara toplantılar yapılarak görüşler paylaşıldı. Düzeltme gerektiren ölçütlere ek süre verilerek, kılavuza uygun hale getirmeleri sağlandı.Bulgular: Ölçütlerin hazırlanması sırasında en fazla zorlanılan konu kanıt oluşturma aşaması oldu. Kanıtlara ulaşmak için, bölüm akademik kurul toplantı belgeleri, sınav kağıtları, komisyon kararları, arşiv ve ilgili tüm belgeler gözden geçirildi. Uygun ve doğru kanıtların oluşturulması sağlandı. Komisyonun ilgili öğretim üyeleri tarafından hazırlanan ölçütler okunarak revize edildi. Kanıtlara tek tek bakılarak uygunlukları tespit edildi. Kurum profili de eklenerek ÖDR SABAK’ a gönderildi. ÖDR hazırlama süreci Şubat 2019- Temmuz 2019 tarihleri arasında gerçekleştirildi.Sonuç: ÖDR hazırlama aşaması; zor bir süreç olmakla birlikte, bölüm olarak güçlü ve zayıf yönlerimizi görmemizi sağladı. Ayrıca SABAK tarafından verilen akreditasyon eğitiminin; ÖDR hazırlarken ölçütleri kavrama, kanıt oluşturma, iyileştirme süreçlerine yönelik yorum yapabilme ve öneriler sunma konusunda etkili olduğu görüşündeyiz.

Objectives: This study was planned in order to show the stages of the preparation process of the department self-evaluation report (SER) prepared before the accreditation request and the criteria of the study program.Materials and Methods: To be accredited, our program applied to the Health Sciences Education Programs Evaluation and Accreditation Association (HSEPEA). Following the approval of the request, the process of preparing the SER started. The department accreditation commission was established for this purpose. This committee was examined by the commission for the preparation of SER, and the working groups were formed and tasks were allocated according to the criteria of HSEPEA. All faculty members and internal stakeholders participated in the accreditation training given by HSEPEA. The criteria prepared by the relevant faculty members of the commission were read and revised. Suitability of evidence was controlled by looking one by one. Together with the accreditation training, all academician made the necessary arrangements regarding the criteria that he / she is responsible for. During this period, short meetings were held with working groups and opinions were shared. Criteria that require correction were given additional time and made to comply with the guidelines.Results: The most process issue during the preparation of the criteria was the evidence-building stage. In order to reach the evidence, department academic committee meeting documents, exam papers, commission decisions, archives and all related documents were reviewed. Reliable and correct evidences was ensured that it gets done. The profile of faculty was added and SER was sent to HSEPEA. The process of preparation of SER was carried out between February 2019 and July 2019.Conclusion: SER preparation process; although it is a difficult process, it allowed us to see our strengths and weaknesses. In addition, the accreditation training which given by HSEPEA; ensured us to think that it is effective in comprehending the criteria, creating evidence, commenting on the improvement processes and presenting suggestions while preparing the SER.
