Matematik özyeterliği, matematiksel yılmazlık ve cevaplama süresinin test puanları üzerindeki etkisi

Abstract

Bu araştırmada, matematik özyeterliği, matematiksel yılmazlık, sorularda geçirilen sürenin çevrimiçi olarak uygulanan 15 soruluk matematik başarı testinin puanları üzerinde etkisinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Yordayıcı korelasyonel bir çalışma olarak yürütülen bu araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Gaziantep İli Şahinbey İlçesi'ndeki iki devlet okulunda öğrenim gören 217 tane 5. sınıf öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Matematik başarı testini uygulayabilmek için 'Test Kurdu' adında çevrimiçi test aracı geliştirilmiştir. Bu test aracı ile öğrencilerin sorulara verdikleri cevaplara ve sorularda geçirdikleri sürelere ait veriler elde edilmiştir. Ayrıca öğrencilerin matematik özyeterliği ve matematiksel yılmazlık düzeylerini belirlemek için iki ölçek uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler SPSS Paket Programı üzerinden Lojistik Regresyon ve Çoklu Doğrusal Regresyon kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda, farklı güçlük düzeylerine sahip sorularda farklı bağımsız değişkenlerin soruları doğru/yanlış cevaplama durumu üzerindeki etkisi anlamlı bulunmuştur. Diğer yandan, matematik özyeterliği, testte geçirilen toplam süre ve matematiksel yılmazlık- gelişim alt boyutu değişkenlerinin test toplam puanlarını istatistiksel olarak anlamlı düzeyde yordadığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. In this study, it was aimed to examine the effects of mathematics self-efficacy, mathematical resilience and the time spent in questions, on the scores of the online 15-question mathematics achievement test. The study group of this research, which was conducted as a predictive correlational study, consists of 217 5th grade students studying in two public schools in Gaziantep Province Şahinbey District. In order to apply the mathematics achievement test, an online test tool called 'Test Kurdu' was developed. With this test tool, data on the answers given by the students to the questions and the time spent in the questions were obtained. In addition, two scales were applied to determine the students' mathematics self-efficacy and mathematical resilience levels. The obtained data were analyzed by using Logistic Regression and Multiple Linear Regression via SPSS Package Program. As a result of the research, the effect of different independent variables on the correct/wrong answers to the questions with different difficulty levels was found to be significant. On the other hand, it was concluded that the variables of mathematics self-efficacy, total time spent in the test and mathematical resilience-development sub dimension predicted the test total scores at a statistically significant level.
