Lise öğrencilerinin umut düzeylerinin çocukluk deneyimleri ve başarı motivasyonu ile ilişkisi: Bir karma yöntemler araştırması

Abstract

Araştırmanın amacı lise öğrencilerinin umudunu çeşitli değişkenlerle açıklamaktır. Araştırmanın evrenini 2021-2022 eğitim öğretim yılında Gaziantep ve Malatya illerinde öğrenim gören lise öğrencileri, örneklemini ise 732 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada karma yöntem desenlerinden zenginleştirilmiş desen kullanılmıştır. Nicel verileri toplamak için "Kişisel Bilgi Formu", "Sürekli Umut Ölçeği", "Çocukluk Deneyimleri Ölçeği" ve "Başarı Motivasyonu Ölçeği" kullanılmıştır. Nitel verileri toplamak için yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Veri analizi kısmında nicel veriler için bağımsız gruplar t-testi, tek faktörlü varyans analizi ve hiyerarşik regresyon analizi yapılmıştır. Nitel bulgular için içerik analizi yapılmıştır. Analiz sonuçlarına göre öğrencilerin umut düzeyleri sanat/sporla uğraşma durumuna göre anlamlı farklılık göstermektedir. Öğrencilerin çocukluk deneyimleri okul türü, doğum şekli, doğum sırası, aile ile vakit geçirme, bir işte çalışma ve sanat/sporla uğraşma değişkenlerine göre farklılaşmaktadır. Başarı motivasyonu okul türü, sınıf düzeyi, doğum sırası, sanat/sporla uğraşma durumuna göre farklılaşmaktadır. Çocukluk deneyimleri ve başarı motivasyonunun umudun anlamlı yordayıcıları olduğu görülmüştür. Araştırmanın nitel kısmı öğrencilerin umut, çocukluk deneyimleri ve başarı motivasyonuna ilişkin görüşlerine göre incelenmiştir.

The aim of the research is to explain the hope of high school students with various variables. The population of the research consists of high school students studying in Gaziantep and Malatya in the 2021-2022 academic year, and the sample is 732 students. In the research, the pattern enriched from mixed method patterns was used. "Personal Information Form", "Dispositional Hope Scale", "Childhood Experiences Scale" and "Achievement Motivation Scale" were used to collect quantitative data. A semi-structured interview form was used to collect qualitative data. In the data analysis section, independent groups t-test, single-factor variance analysis and hierarchical regression analysis were performed for quantitative data. Content analysis was performed for qualitative findings. According to the results of the analysis, the students' level of hope varies significantly according to the situation of dealing with art/sports. Students' childhood experiences vary according to the type of school, manner of birth, order of birth, spending time with family, working in a job and dealing with art/sports. The motivation for achievement varies according to the type of school, class level, order of birth, and the state of dealing with art/sports. Childhood experiences and motivation for achievement have been shown to be meaningful fatigues of hope. The qualitative part of the study was examined according to the students' views on hope, childhood experiences and achievement motivation.
