Kültürleşme yönelimleri çerçevesinde Suriyeli mültecilere yönelik nefret söylemlerinin entegrasyon sürecine etkileri

Abstract

Bu çalışmayla mültecilere yönelik nefret söyleminin etkisi kapsamında mültecilerin kültürleşme yönelimlerini ortaya çıkarmak ve entegrasyon sürecine etkisini araştırmak amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın denekleri 2011 yılında Suriye'deki iç savaş nedeniyle Türkiye'ye gelen ve Gaziantep ilinde yaşayan Geçici Koruma Altındaki Suriyelilerden oluşmaktadır. Çalışmada Geçici Koruma Altındaki Suriyelilerin görüşlerini belirlemek için anket yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Nefret söylemi son dönemlerde öne çıkmış bir çalışma alanı olarak, toplumsal ilişkilerde yaşanan ötekileştirme, dışlama, ayrıksılaştırma gibi görüşleri kapsayan bir çalışma alanıdır. Bugün birçok çalışma göstermektedir ki ana akım toplum göçe dayanan nedenlerle nefret söylemine tanık olduğumuz, karşıtlığın nefret söylemiyle ifade edildiği bir yaşam alanı haline gelmiştir. Ana akım toplumda, özellikle nefret söylemi içeren söylemlerin, ötekileştirmeye yönelik toplumsal davranışların geliştiği görülmüştür. Çalışma mültecilerin, zorunlu olarak bulundukları ülkede yaşadıkları nefret söylemi karşısında oluşan duygu ve düşünceleri değerlendirilerek, kültürleşmeye ilişkin yönelimlerini ortaya çıkarmaktadır. This study aims to reveal the acculturation tendencies of refugees in the face of the effect of hate speech towards them and to investigate the effect of such hate speech on the integration process. Study subjects are Syrians that came to Turkey in 2011 due to the civil war in Syria and began living in Gaziantep under Temporary Protection. In the study, a questionnaire method was used to determine the views of Syrians under Temporary Protection. Hate speech is a field of study that has been popular in recent years and focuses on concepts such as marginalization, exclusion, and discrimination in social relations. Today, many studies show that the mainstream society has become a place where immigration-related hate speech is common and objection is expressed through hate speech. We observe that in the mainstream society hate speech and social behaviors aimed at marginalizing, have developed. The study reveals the acculturation tendencies of refugees by factoring in their feelings and views in the face of hate speech they encounter in their countries of residence.
